Our History

Victory Baptist Church began as a mission named North Jackson Mission in 1985. A group of people had a God-given burden to see a New Testament Church established in the rapidly growing area of North Jackson and south Madison County. Unity Baptist Church of Hattiesburg, Mississippi extended a wholehearted sponsorship of this mission work.  
In the early months, services were held in various members’ homes. Land was purchased in 1986 and Victory’s building was completed in 1987. The church is located at the corner of Rice and Hoy Roads, one mile from Highway 51 in the city of Madison. Today, God continues to bless His church through steady growth and answers to prayers. Victory is part of the American Baptist Association for the purpose of fellowship and mission work. It is our desire to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that He may receive all the honor and glory for our efforts.
